Mersham Sports Club is organised and run solely by volunteer members from the club, who give up lots of their time to help organise all of the sports and social events available to our members.

We’d like to thank all of those who dedicate their time to making the club such a wonderful place for all.

We are always in need of extra help and volunteers and welcome any members that wish to be involved and assist with club activity.

Volunteering has many benefits not only for the club but also helping volunteers to develop personally, using and acquiring different skill sets, gaining accredited qualifications and certificates, adding huge value to CV’s for potential employers, especially for young people within the club.

Opportunities and skills that can be developed;

  • Communication
  • Leadership
  • IT and social media
  • Grounds keeping
  • Officiating
  • Coaching
  • Event/match organising
  • Advertising
  • Catering
  • Book keeping and accounting
  • First aid
  • Child protection and welfare

We support volunteers as much as we can by providing opportunities, helping to fund courses and certificates, providing kit and supporting them in their roles.

Volunteering at Mersham can also be useful for other awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh.

If you would like to be involved with volunteering at Mersham please contact any of the section contacts below or speak to you team coach/manager who will help to get you involved.
