WAGs – Win One, Lose One

Following their victory against Dulwich the previous week Mersham’s unbeaten run came to an end against Tunbridge Wells last Sunday.

The game against Dulwich was dominated by the bat with the away team posting 104-5 with opener Kira Chati retiring not out on 32 and Alice Gidney contributing 27. Helen Fagg taking 2 for 9. In reply Mersham pair Chelsea Lenihan – retired not out 30 and Helen Fagg also retired not out 31 were well supported by Rachel Stevens not out 27 as they recorded their 5th straight victory with 2 overs to spare.

The following Sunday saw Mersham travel to Tunbridge Wells who, batting first, racked up 125 for 2. In reply, despite Katie Jordan retiring not out on 30, tight bowling restricted them to 86 for 4 and a first defeat of the season by 39 runs.
